K. Delafe | Fall 2018

Kennia Delafe, originally from Cuba, immigrated to the United States more than a decade ago looking for opportunities where she could construct a reliable and stable future for her and her family. Not knowing what to expect in the new environment and far from knowing what the right decision to make was, she maintained a growth mindset over obstacles. Kennia drew her path and stuck to it; she knew that the only and strongest armor that she could have is knowledge.

Kennia completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and General Education at Le Moyne College while working as an English as a New Language Adult Educator. After completing her degree, she continued her path onto the Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation Masters Program at Syracuse University.

During her studies in the IDD&E program, she was required to complete many electronic projects that all together constitute this electronic portfolio. In it, Kennia highlights her competencies growth by showing a synthesis of completed individual and group projects created during the IDD&E courses, many required documents, and a thoughtful self-evaluation as part of the final MS requirement for graduation.

I hope you enjoy it as much as she did.

Thank you,

KD
